Toronto Labour Day Parade
Time: 9:00 AM
Location: East side of University Avenue just South of Dundas Street West

The annual Labour Day parade will be held on Monday September 4th. Join SEIU Local 2 and 1,000s of other workers for a parade from Queen and University to the CNE.
Union members and up to four family members will receive free admission into the CNE and a t-shirt when they show up to the parade. Only those who register in advance can be guaranteed passes and t-shirts.
If you haven’t done so already, please register! Deadline for registration is Wednesday, August 30th.
Hamilton Labour Day Parade

The Hamilton and District Labour Council’s 2023 Labour Day Parade will be held on Monday September 4th. Join your fellow SEIU Local 2 members as well as hundreds of other Hamilton-area Union members for a parade starting at the intersection of Bay and Stuart Street and marching to a barbeque at Bayfront Park.
Local 2 members (and up to 4 family members/friends) will receive a Local 2 T-Shirt when they show up to the parade. Only those who register in advance can be guaranteed t-shirts.
C’mon out and have a really fun time with your friends and/or family and mingle with your fellow Local 2 members from other workplaces throughout the area. The Labour Day Parade is always a relaxing and enjoyable day.

London Labour Day Picnic

Join your fellow SEIU Local 2 members as well as hundreds of other London-area Union members for a picnic at East Lions Park.
Local 2 members (and up to 4 family members/friends) will receive a Local 2 T-Shirt when they show up to the event. Only those who register in advance can be guaranteed t-shirts.

Niagara Area Labour Day Parade
Time – 10:30 AM | Parade Commences at 11:00 AM
Location – Pen Centre Shopping Mall Parking Lot, 221 Glendale Ave, St. Catharines

Join your fellow SEIU Local 2 members as well as hundreds of other Niagara-area Union members for a parade starting at the Pen Centre and walking a short distance to Merritton Lions Carnival on Seymour Street (behind the old Merritton High School).
Local 2 members (and up to 4 family members/friends) will receive a Local 2 t-shirt as well as a food tickets for a free hamburger (or peameal-on-a-bun) from the Lions Carnival food booth when they show up to the parade. Only those who register in advance can be guaranteed food tickets and t-shirts.
C’mon out and have a really fun time with your friends and/or family and mingle with your fellow Local 2 members from other workplaces throughout the Niagara area. The Labour Day Parade is always a relaxing and enjoyable day.
When arriving at Pen Centre, look for the SEIU Local 2 flags and/or our parade trailer with purple signage and balloons or simply ask a Parade Marshal to direct you to the SEIU Local delegation. Please check in with Business Agent Ted Mansell when you arrive for your t-shirt and food tickets. If you have any questions, please feel free to email Ted Mansell at tmansell@seiulocal2.ca and ensure you clearly indicate your first and last name and where you work (name of Employer).

March for Unity
Time – 11:40 AM
Location – Gather at Oscar Peterson Statue (East side intersection of Elgin and Albert Streets)
The “March for Unity”, organized by the Ottawa District Labour Council, will start a City Hall at 1pm on Monday September 4th and lead us to McNabb Park. SEIU Local 2 will first gather at 11:40am at the Oscar Peterson Statue (East side intersection of Elgin and Albert Streets) and then walk down to City-Hall together.
Activities beyond the parade will include a moon bounce, live music, pony rides, face painting, and a barbecue. Something for everyone to enjoy!
Marche pour l’unité

Rassemblera à 11H40am à la statue d’Oscar Peterson (du côté est de la rue Elgin et de l’intersection de la rue Albert)
La ” Marche pour l’unité “, organisée par le Conseil du travail du district d’Ottawa, partira de l’hôtel de ville à 13 heures le lundi 4 septembre et nous mènera au parc McNabb. La section locale 2 de l’UIES se rassemblera à 12H40pm à la statue d’Oscar Peterson (du côté est de la rue Elgin et de l’intersection de la rue Albert) pour ensuite se localiser vers l’hôtel de ville.
Les activités qui suivront le défilé comprendront un château gonflable, de la musique en direct, des promenades à poney, de la peinture sur visage et un barbecue. Il y en aura pour tous les goûts !
