SEIU Local 2’s Branch 244 Executive Board met recently to discuss important topics coming up in 2024.

Perhaps the most pressing matter is next year’s provincial election. A plan is being developed to engage and mobilize the membership with important workers’ rights hanging on the balance. Stay tuned for more information!

A plan for an organizing conference in also being hatched. SEIU Local 2’s membership in B.C. has grown quickly over the last couple of years – and that has not only help improve the lives of many newly unionized workers, but it has also empowered members with more bargaining power at the table. Let’s do more of it!

SEIU Local 2’s two-week paid Organizing Apprenticeship Program starts on October 28 in Vancouver. Application deadline is September 30. Organizing Apprentice positions will be available in various provinces.
